- Procedures in the mouth may cause post-operative pain. You can take painkillers or anti-inflammatory medicines, such as Depon, Panadol, Algofren.
- Aspirin is forbidden!!!!
- On the 1st day, avoid rinsing the mouth repeatedly; it causes bleeding.
- For the first 3 days, avoid smoking, alcohol, staying in a very warm environment, exercise and tiring work, because they cause swelling.
- On the 1st day, apply ice packs externally every 5 minutes (5 minutes on, 5 minutes off), 8-10 times, to reduce the swelling. From the 2nd day onwards ice is forbidden, because it causes more swelling!!!
- On the 1st day, avoid hard and very hot foods.
- For the first 3 days, use the mouthwash and the chlorhexidine gel recommended by the doctor after meals, and do not use a toothbrush, so that the sutures are not cut.
- From the 4th day you can begin brushing with a soft toothbrush.
- If the doctor has placed gauze in your mouth after the procedure, it must be kept in place for 30min.
- If you see bleeding on the evening after the procedure, roll up a piece of gauze and bite down on it for at least 30min.
- If an antibiotic has been prescribed to you, do not skip it. Usual doses are every 8 hours or every 12 hours for 5 days.
By following these instructions, you will not encounter any particular problem.
